Book Reviews

I will now be posting mini reviews! I say mini because I am a very succinct writer and I can usually sum up a book in a few sentences. If I gush about something, you know I really enjoyed it.

Genre:

The books I review will all be YA fantasy. It’s my favorite as well as the genre I write in, so it makes perfect sense. I will tend to be reviewing indie authors because I know how hard it is to get exposure and how much of an impact reviews can have in the marketing process.

Rating system:

I’m going to keep it to however many stars out of five, since this is what you will see on Amazon and Goodreads. I rate books the same on both those sites as well.

Recommendations:

Do you have a book you think I should read? I make no guarantees for reviews, but you can certainly e-mail me at authorallisonrose@gmail.com and I will consider adding your book to my TBR. It must be YA fantasy.

Frequency:

I will put out at least one review a month, possibly two. My reading schedule depends on how my writing/work schedule is going, so it will change from month to month.

Honesty:

I appreciate honesty when readers are reviewing and critiquing my own work, so I will extend the same honesty to books I review. That being said, it does no good to completely bash books. My criticism will be constructive. Keep in mind, these are only my opinions. You are certainly welcome to disagree.
