Official blurb:
Switched – the first book in the Trylle Trilogy…
When Wendy Everly was six-years-old, her mother was convinced she was a monster and tried to kill her. It isn’t until eleven years later that Wendy discovers her mother might have been right.
With the help of Finn Holmes, Wendy finds herself in a world she never knew existed—a world both beautiful and frightening, and Wendy’s not sure she wants to be a part of it.
My rating: five stars out of five
I first read this series as a teenager. It didn’t disappoint me the second time around.
The concept of changelings meshed with a misunderstood society of trolls is by far the most creative world I’ve read about. I love the challenges their society faces and how that differs from human society.
I’m also a sucker for the no-one girl finding out she is a princess trope.
And I love Finn. Who doesn’t want a sexy guy following you around and preparing you for your real life as a princess?
Seriously, though, if you enjoy books about magic, supernatural beings, and romance, this is a book for you.
